The first carbon sink of wood
Puuni’s first carbon sink saw the light of day last week in Suonsaari, Mikkeli. Yesterday we planted fresh wood saplers in Lempäälä. 🌱
Thanks to our mets, about 9,000 new trees absorb carbon dioxide as they grow from the atmosphere. We create new forest sector, habitats, ecosystem services and employ forest management associations as well as municipal workers.
It’s a really great feeling and it’s great to keep moving on with our forest we love! 💛
